Vantage Point

The entire sequence was filmed from the ideally situated Rivergate marina & shipyard on the southern bank of the Brisbane River, barely 100m east of the construction rivergate logosite.

This vantage point gives a perfect view of the second gateway bridge's construction. It also provides an ever-changing stream of pleasure-craft and super-yachts to add visual interest to the sequence's foreground, helping to put the bridge's massive scale into perspective.

How was this possible?

Over the past few years, maketimelapse.com has become a recognised specialist in the field of long-term HD timelapse. We use a combination of photo-voltaic (solar) panel and ultra-low power camera/computer technologies to film continuously come rail, hail or shine (literally).
