On the 23rd of September 2009, a giant cloud of red dust swept across the Australia from the arid centre to the east coast. An existing timelapse camera set up by maketimelapse.com to film the Brisbane Northern Busways project caught the entire approach, duration and aftermath of the ensuing dust storm which shrouded Brisbane (and many other east-coast cities in orange for half a day).
